Beginning life in 1920 as a Somerset taxi and limousine firm, H. Biffen & Sons transitioned into funeral provision following Harry Biffen’s death in 1972. Since then, generations of Biffens have provided the Bridgwater community with compassionate and supportive services. Currently, the business is looked after by, father and daughter team, John and Sarah; who continue to uphold the long-standing reputation generated over 100 years of dedicated service.
In every car, we have the motto ‘drive and arrive with pride’ printed on the front. This ethos has stayed with us throughout our many years in business and is a testament to our origins. We have always been based in the heart of Bridgwater and we have grown to become one of the largest fleets in the area. We boast a full British seven-seater Daimler, a Jaguar, a Princess, and a Rover as well as Austin limousines, some of which have been lovingly restored over the years since Harry first founded the company over a century ago.
We conduct funerals for people of all ages, needs and beliefs, from traditional church-based services to green funerals or no service at all. We can help to fulfil the wishes of the deceased and their loved ones, delivering fitting funerals that are truly representative of the individual. H.
